Team India led by Rohit Sharma faced Afghanistan for the 3rd T20i match at the famous M Chinnaswamy Stadium at Bengaluru. The Indian captain chose to bat first after winning the toss for the 3rd time in the series. After the comprehensive series win and taking a 2-0 lead, team India opts for three changes in the playing 11. They gave a chance to Sanju Samson in place of Jitesh Sharma & also gave chances to Kuldeep Yadav & Avesh Khan in place of Axar Patel & Arshdeep Singh. After choosing to bat first, the Indian team tottered at 22 for 4 and their top order was dismissed within 4.3 overs. Both Rohit & Rinku were batting together and were easily scoring a bulk of runs in the middle. Slowly they took the game far away from Afghanistan and put up 100 runs on the board in the 14th over of the match. Their partnership also moved on as the game progressed and they put a 100-run partnership on the board in the 19th over of the match.

Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant 50 in the 13th over of the game and was hitting the ball quite well in the innings. In the 19th over of the match, Rohit scored the 5th T20I hundred for India, the most by any batsman in the world. In the very next ball, he went for a single to bring Rinku on strike who also scored another 50 in the innings.

Both these two batsmen hit five 6s in the last over of the innings, surpassing the 200-run mark on the board. Hitman scored his highest knock in his T20 career with 36 runs in the last over in the innings. Rohit Sharma & Rinku Singh broke all the records earlier and made the highest partnership for India in t20i with 190* runs.

India had the chance to score the first 200-run partnership in t20 internationals but fell 10 short of that in this innings. While in record India scored more than 150 run partnership in t20i cricket by 6 times in history. Rohit Sharma featured 6 times out of the 10 highest run partnerships in T20i’s.
