The 17th season of the Indian Premier League is going on and here are the 10 teams across India participating in the tournament. Every year alongside the IPL trophy winner, the IPL Orange Cap & Purple Cap are given to the best batsman and the best bowler of the league. Like the other years, many players have won the Orange Cap in their respective seasons, by scoring the most runs in IPL. Here in this post, we will see who’s leading the race of IPL 2024 most runs.
Over the years we have seen overseas as well as the Indian Batsmen winning the Orange Cap in IPL history. Starting with Shaun Marsh in the very first season of IPL 2008, we saw overseas players like Matthew Hayden, Chris Gayle, Michael Hussey, David Warner, Kane Williamson & Jos Buttler score the most runs in IPL and win the honor. Also, Indian players like batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar along with other players like Robin Uthappa, veteran Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ruturaj Gaikwad & Shubman Gill in the last season won the IPL Orange caps respectively.

The most run tally of IPL 2024 is led by the legend Virat Kohli who has been in tremendous form this season. In 7 innings of this season, he has scored 361 runs so far with a century on his name. He has a whooping average of 72.2 and a decent strike of 147.35. He smashed 35 boundaries and 14 sixes so far in IPL 24.
After Kohli, the second name on this list is Riyan Parag, who’s playing for Delhi Capitals this season. This young lad has scored 318 runs in 7 innings with a blistering strike rate of 161.42 and he averages 63.6. He has scored 3 fifties so far this season, with 84 being his best innings.
Rohit Sharma is the third name so far in this table, with 297 runs on his name in 7 innings. His strike rate is also very good at 164.09 and he averages 49.5 in this season.
